Glock has introduced it's first single stack 9mm. Thoughts...

Glock is awfully late to the game with this. Especially considering how well the Shield is doing and at a lower price point.

I would like to get my hands on one, but I'm not sure I'd give up my Kahr CM9 for it.

Well, I'm becoming a "GlockGuy" with the 19 and 26, and at some point a 20.

I agree they are late to the game. But, I assume they will sell well as do Glocks in general.

I have a Khar PM9. I have to pocket carry at work. The Glock appears to be a tad heavier and bigger all around. Don't know that there is anything convincing that would get me to trade off.

The shield is a little smaller, but not that you would notice a difference. They would both work in the same holster. The shield is 7 or 8 rounds depending on what mag. you use. The glock is listed as 6 rounds. One big difference is whether or not you want an external safety, the shield has one, the glock doesn’t.

Think I'd rather get a Walther PPS...

I am going to keep using the Sig P290RS. I don't think there is anything on the Glock that interests me enough to get one.

This is probably going to be more difficult to get than the Glock 30S. Hoping I can get one to try out.

I've fired a shield and I think they suck. Glock 43 has a better grip, but I'm probably going with the new Walther PPS M2. I originally wanted a Walther CCP, but that gun is having way too many problems. But the Glock 43 is a very good gun. I put 50 rounds and didn't experience a single issue.

Went to the LGS again today, looked at a couple Mossbergs, the Glock 43 again, the Walther CCP again and sights for my PPQ.

The shop is so damned expensive, that the price turns me away, but...

I asked and was handed the Glock 43 again to test break and reset. It's pretty good, so it's looking like I'll be picking up my first Glock, just not from them. I'll put Talon grips on it, night sights, a two round and one round extension on the magazines.

Buds is out of stock on the G43 but you can reserve one for $491 on the website

I'll have to compare that against the Kentucky Gun Company. They have amazingly low prices, but they are sold out too.

Anyway, I fired one, but today I went in and tested the break and reset.

They are very good. Just a little less than a PPQ, but light on the break. PPQs tend to have hard breaks, but the Glock 43 had a lighter, smoother break. Perhaps the only gun I've tested that has a better break is the Walther CCP which is almost non-existant, but its reset is almost full extension.

I just saw two video on Bud's Gun Shop bad business tactics: bait and switch, harassment of unsatisfied customers, etc.

Bud's is off the list of possible online dealers.
